Verdict
Sleep Cycle's core tracking and gentle wake-up alarm work well for many users, but the app increasingly pushes premium features behind a subscription paywall, and a chunk of reviewers report billing and cancellation problems with support.
Best for
Someone who wants a free basic sleep tracker with a gentle alarm and doesn't mind losing access to sounds and extra features unless they subscribe.
Dealbreaker
Many features that used to be free are now paywalled, and several reviewers report being charged after cancelling with unhelpful customer support.
